The Miami Downtown Development Authority is seeking an intern with knowledge/experience in urban planning, urban design and/or architecture. Position will be responsible for assisting on planning, urban design, transportation initiatives currently underway within the Urban Planning and Transportation Section (projects highlighted on DDA web page at http://miamidda.com/business_research_current.asp). Experience in urban design, architecture, transportation and/or planning is desired and GIS skills/3D modeling is a plus. Applicants should be enrolled and pursuing either an undergraduate or graduate degree. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel, Illustrator and PowerPoint is desired and ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD is also a plus.
The engagement will be 2-3 months, which may be extended (no benefits). Work schedule 20 to 40 hours a week with flexible hours. Compensation is $12.00/hour. A metro pass will be available if needed.
